Switches · example

Use existing KAKU/Chacon/Nexa switches as smart switches or scene triggers.
For learning-mode modules use the AC protocol. Modules with code wheels often work via ARC. After receiving or manually adding them, you can control ON/OFF and dim levels.
Step-by-step plan
- Check on the compatibility page which protocol belongs to your device.
- Enable only the required receive protocol on the RFX web page or in RFXmngr.
- Temporarily enable Auto Discovery when using MQTT.
- Activate the remote control or sensor, or add the device manually with the correct MQTT topic.
- Test the controls in Home Assistant and then disable Auto Discovery again.
Tip
Use a fixed IP configuration, a unique Hostname/MQTT Client name and a good 5V/2A power supply for the most stable operation.
