RS232 Serial Interface module.

The interface module can be used to connect RS232 devices to the RFXCOM Ethernet interface or RFXCOM USB interface.
The interface module can also be used to configure the embedded Ethernet controller in the RFXCOM Ethernet interface.
The Receive Data and Transmit Data signals are the only two signals connected to the embedded Ethernet controller or the USB interface.

Installation in an USB interface:
The RS232 Serial Interface module can be installed in an USB interface and can be placed in one of the 14 pins header sockets J1 or J2. The module must be inserted with the 9 pins SUB-D connector close to pin 1 of the 14 pins header sockets. The RS232 Serial Interface module must be the only module in the USB interface and can only be used then as an USB-RS232 converter!

Installation in a 1 COM port LAN interface.
The RS232 Serial Interface module can be installed in a 1 COM port LAN interface and can be placed in one of the 14 pins header sockets JP4 or JP5. The module must be inserted with the 9 pins SUB-D connector close to pin 1 of the 14 pins header sockets. It must be the only module in the 1 COM port LAN interface!

Installation in a 2 COM port LAN, WLAN or LAN+WLAN interface.
The RS232 Serial Interface module can be installed in the 2 COM port LAN/WLAN interfaces and can be placed in the 14 pins header socket JP6.
The JP4 or JP5 header sockets can also be used for the RS232 Serial interface module but it must be the only module in JP4 and JP5.
The module must be inserted with the 9 pins SUB-D connector close to pin 1 of the 14 pins header sockets.
